- Birth - c. 1310 (San Miniato).
- Death - June 20 1363.
- Father - Nicola Farnese
- Occupation - Italian leader; Consignor of Farnese, Canino, Ischia & Cellere; captain of the papal army & Captain General Army Florence.
- Little is known of Pietro Farnese's early life.
- 1338 (August) - Together with his father, supports Orvieto Monaldeschi the Viper against Monaldeschi and is declared rebel.[1]
- 1345 (April) - Takes possession of Castel Fiorentino.[3]
- 1353 - Occupies Toscanella (Tuscania).[3]
- 1354 - Enters the service of Cardinal Egidio Albornoz to Milan, to fight against the rebel ghibellino Bernabo Visconti.[1]
- 1355 (November) - Appointed captain of the Papal States.[1]
- 1359 - Is knighted by Albertaccio Ricasoli.[3]
- 1360 - Officially took possession of Bologna Blasco Fernandez when Giovanni Visconti from Oleggio gave the city & the church in exchange for Fermo.
- 1363 (March) - The Senate of Rome sent him to the aid of the Florentines to fight the Pisans. He was appointed to the post of captain-general Rodolfo da Varano.[3]
- 1363 (June) - Castelfiorentino is struck by the plague and Pietro Farnese is brought to San Miniato, where he dies mid-month. Buried in the church of Santa Reparata in Florence (Santa Maria del Fiore).[3]
- 1380 - People of Santa Reparata, commission painters Angelo Gaddi & Giuliano to adorn the tomb (see picture) of Pietro Farnese.[1]
